Bevel Cutting Stainless Steel

LASERDYNE BeamDirector systems (430, 795) are capable of cutting a wide range of materials and thicknesses at an angle to the surface. The minimum angle for such cuts depends upon the laser source that is integrated with the system and upon the beam delivery optics (that is, focal length of the focusing lens, gas assist nozzle). Shown below is a 20mm diameter circle cut at 45 degree to the surface along the X-axis in 3 mm Type 304L stainless steel as an example of the ‘bevel cutting’ capability of LASERDYNE systems. Note also the clean and small pierce point at the center of the circle produced using SmartPierce™.
